KIDS ON THE EDGE : TROUBLED GIRLS
Channel 4
As the UK faces a significant increase in the number of children experiencing mental health difficulties, the world-renowned Tavistock Institute opens its doors to documentary cameras for the first time.
The series focuses on three specific services offered at the Tavistock; The Gender Identity Development Service ; A specialist school for kids who’ve faced pre-verbal trauma; and a new service for self-harming teenagers.
I directed one episode that told the story of two teenagers struggling to engage with support despite both experiencing long battles with self-harm and suicidal thoughts.
Nominated for BAFTA 2017 Best Documentary Series
